These courses can also be taught on their own to groups at businesses, associations, etc, for a nominal fee. To provide you this training, or any other training, we will travel to your location at no additional charge within 50 miles. It is our goal to provide YOU the training you need to survive an encounter.

Self Defense Training is not designed to make you a black belt or expert in a certain martial art. It is designed to protect you from attack and to make you more confident and less likely to be chosen as a target.

Self Defense courses are taught during weekday afternoon or evenings, or anytime you would like to schedule a session. To accommodate you, we can even travel to a location convenient to you such as your place of business or home. Personal training at a location that is convenient to you is something we offer so that we may cater to any person, couple, or group. Please contact us if you have a location and are interested in this type of training.

During this training, students will learn the basic forms and moves to prevent an attack, learn how to properly disengage from an attack, how to defend against an imminent attack, achieving the proper stance and balance, and much more. This course alone will make you more confident in accomplishing all of your everyday tasks

These courses are designed to provide students with the necessary tactics to recognize a potential threat, and if possible, avoid it. However, it is sometimes necessary to break away from an attack that is in progress. During this course, students will be taught the proper methods of disengaging from an assailant using simple straight forward techniques that anyone can do. This is a “desire to survive” course where survival is the only option if you are attacked. The course is not limited to sexual assault prevention, it also applies to anyone who could become a potential victim such as children and the elderly. Our goal is for you to SURVIVE an encounter and to return to your family and loved ones.

Basic Defense Training

The central goal of this 2 hour seminar is to better equip you to recognize and address aggressive, potentially dangerous behavior. We will focus on identifying and preventing threats and taking action when necessary.

  1. Prevention – The prevention segment focuses on safety planning, and recognizing and de-fusing a potentially dangerous situation. Participants have the opportunity to develop a safety plan for dangerous situations in a safe environment. They are coached on how to interact and position themselves with a hostile individual.
  2. Intervention – The second part of this seminar is centered on intervention and escape. It provides participants with simple yet effective physical techniques to allow them to escape from violent encounters (i.e., what to do if the aggressor grabs your wrist, your neck, your hair).

Participants in this program are introduced to scenarios involving aggressive individuals. They are coached on how to use de-escalation strategies to help reduce the risk of a violent episode. Participants also learn about the range of safeguards that can be implemented and how to use them in a potential crisis situation. Personal safety techniques are also introduced so that participants are able to defend against and escape from basic physical attacks. This seminar is an ideal prevention tool for any individual interested in learning about personal safety.

Women’s Self Defense

Doc Hollyday tactical is dedicated to help prevent violence against women. The Women’s Self Defense Course is designed to empower woman through knowledge and permission to protect themselves. Political correctness in society has taught woman that they should ignore the “red flags” that signal danger in their minds. Doc Hollyday Tactical focuses on those natural instincts and teach participants to learn how to avoid and escape danger with techniques that are proven from real situations.

There are no flashy “Hollywood” techniques, only what works. Participants are taught various escapes from common attack scenarios. Learn what criminals look for in a victim and how to avoid them. The course does not rely on strength making it perfect for all fitness levels. Techniques are designed to give even the most petite woman devastating power in defending herself and most importantly the permission to use it!
